Do not be alarmed; this is a male. Mud, a one-time roadie, constantly begged for stage time. He was finally allowed to perform after agreeing to wear female clothing and serve as the butt of the band's comedy skits.

An early member, Astin brought verve and fashion sense to the Spit-Tunes. The band's female fans were especially pleased with Astin's organ.
